My friend gave me the idea of using a triple battles Greninja and Shedinja. I thought "well heck, that actually sounds pretty fun!" So I went on Showdown and decided to make it. I'd appreciate some feedback, thanks in advance.

=== Triples Greninja Ninjas!!! ===

Banette (M) @ Banettite
Ability: Cursed Body
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Phantom Force
- Toxic
- Gunk Shot
- Knock Off

Ghost types are my favorite types of all time. Banette is my favorite ghost type of all time. I had to throw it in, I just absolutely had to. So this guy is normally sent out with the Blastoise, being able to toxic while blastoise attracts all the attention. However, should blastoise die, Banette still has Phantom Force and Gunk Shot, while the accuracy is meh, the move is powerful none-the-less. Plus, this entire team is based around not getting killed, so I like the addition of having Phantom Force.

Shedinja
Ability: Wonder Guard
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Phantom Force
- Night Slash
- X-Scissor
- Sucker Punch

Again, like Banette, he is primarily a Phantom Force user. However, he does everything Banette does and more. Considering he has Wonder Guard, Shedinja paired up with Greninja essentially means Shedinja will never die. Phantom Force turn 1, Mat block turn 2, rinse and repeat.

Blastoise (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP / 128 Def / 128 SpD
- Follow Me
- Iron Defense
- Flash Cannon
- Hydro Pump

I never knew Blastoise had access to Follow Me until I looked at his moveset. With a tanky Blastoise, with Follow Me, he assures that everything else on your side (or my side really) doesn't die. At all. Hydro Pump and Flash Cannon are for when I really want Blastoise to attack (which is like... never) and Iron Defense is mostly for those turns when you KNOW you will get killed by something, so you use double Phantom Force and Iron Defense.

Greninja @ Mental Herb
Ability: Protean
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Mat Block
- U-turn
- Dark Pulse
- Hydro Pump

This is the core of the team. Him and Shedinja, that is. I pretty much only use him for Mat Block, but when push comes to shove then yes, I will bust out the Hydro Pump and Dark Pulse. His EVs are a basic layout, but I couldn't think of anything more.

Sylveon @ Focus Sash
Ability: Cute Charm
EVs: 128 HP / 128 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Rain Dance
- Moonblast
- Baton Pass
- Calm Mind

This is a very fun set to use with Sylveon. I was temperarily thinking of replacing R.D with Curse, however I really like the R.D because of both Blastoise and Greninja. Baton Pass is a basic rundown for most Eeveelutions, unless you put your own spin on it, and moonblast is for those times when Greninja can't Mat Block and Blastoise is down. Other than that, spam Calm Mind... that's it.

Altaria @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Cloud Nine
EVs: 8 HP / 120 Def / 128 SpA / 252 SpD
- Dragon Pulse
- Dazzling Gleam
- Flamethrower
- Cotton Guard

I had a REALLY hard time picking another pokemon for this last spot. I was thinking about putting another Phantom Forcer in there, but then I looked and saw I already had 2 ghost types, so not the best idea. Then I thought of more undying stallers, and then from the white light came this goddess. It's Cloud Nine protects Shedinja from Hail, Sandstorm, etc... and yes I do know it gets rid of RD benefits but I can live without. A great switch-in overall and it's special attack isn't one to laugh at, plus I didn't invest my EVs primarily into Def because I have Cotton Guard.

SO! How is it, any changes needed or recommended? If you'd like to see it in action here is a replay I saved: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogontriples-342682561

I don't know much about triples, but I see a lot of Pokemon in singles with moves like will-o-wisp and leech seed. They bypass mat block.
