Ever since the new rules came out, I’ve been working on a team that should perform well against the projected new meta, and I’m pretty happy with how it turned out, but it’s definitely not perfect. All suggestions are welcome!

EDIT: I’ve been testing the team and have made many changes.

The main idea with this team is to do huge damage with Durant, with with the Pranksters as support. Sylveon is there for rain teams, as it can OHKO Dynamax Kingdra (With minimal bulk.) Quash is a guaranteed outspeed. Mystical Fire is for Durant, Quash and Max Flare can outspeed and OHKO.

Durant should be very strong. It can OHKO offensive Lapras and works great with Sableye. My plan against both Hyper Offensive Lapras is to Fake out the support (Talonflame) and Max Rockfall Lapras. It will OHKO Dynamax Offensive Lapras. Worst case scenario, they protect Lapras and Max Talonflame Turn one, but Occa Berry guarantees the live, I think, and then Lapras is not a real threat and I can easily outspeed with Quash/Scary Face and pick off Talonflame next turn.

I originally used Dracovish in place of Barraskewda, but Barraskewda is pretty good as well. It helps against P-Z plus Clefairy as it ignores follow me and can OHKO no bulk Dynamax Porygon-Z with Close Combat + Band + Helping Hand in Friend Guard. Also can OHKO Dynamax Charizard in rain, which is why Lieperd has Rain Dance.

Lieperd is my Trick Room Counter as Copycat instantly reverses Trick Room (Provided they don’t Protect/use a priority move.) I’m not sure what Thunder Wave should be, Taunt might be helpful to guarantee that the opponent doesn’t use any moves like Protect or Rage Powder to screw up Copycat.

Jolteon needs testing. I chose it as a rain abuser and because Corviknight is problematic. My other thoughts were Rotom-Heat or Toxtricity (Sableye is immune to bookburst as well).

Again, all feedback is appreciated! Thank you!

I would try a Life Orb on Durant and switch Duraludon's item to something else (lol I have no idea what), but I like this team :)
The life orb is to OHKO Kingdra, and the Occa berry is insurance against Dynamax Talonflame, but I’m not sure if that will happen that often, so an Expert Belt or something might be better. Thanks :)
Why slow Sylveon?
It was originally a gimmick that it could underspeed Hatterene in trick room if I Scary Face’d myself, but I’ve since removed Grimmsnarl from the team.
ok that makes sense.

I really like your second team and decided not to replace any Pokemon.

For Durant, I gave it Stomping Tantrum instead of Protect because when you are not maxed you have an 80% chance to hit 100% accurate moves. A base 150 move with Hustle will hit like a nuke. I also removed First Impression for X-Scissor as I always maxed it turn 1.

I gave Sableye Ally Switch while removing Fake Out. This one is personal preference but I never clicked Fake Out while testing the original team

Barraskewda got an Expert Belt and Psychic Fangs to replace Poison Jab. When I brought this thing most of the time I maxed it. I gave it Psychic Fangs not for the Max Move but to eliminate G-Max Resonance. This can be replaced with Bounce if you want Airstream or keep Poison Jab. (I only use it as Max Ooze to give Jolteon or Sylveon a boost)

The final change I made is giving Sylveon Quick Attack because I almost never wanted to click Hyper Beam. (Personal Preference)

Thanks! I agree that fake out might not be as valuable as ally switch, and stomping tantrum is a strong move as well. X-scissor is also definitely better. Hyper beam was to one-shot Dynamax Kingdra and Choice band was to one-shot Porygon-Z with helping hand through friend guard, but psychic fangs is probably good as well.
ok, I'm not a big choice item person
Me neither, but Porygon-Z is really threatening.
I mostly agree. Quick Attack is pretty weak on Sylveon though, even after Pixilate.
