Kyurem-White @ Life Orb
Ability: Turboblaze
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Blizzard
- Earth Power
- Protect
My restricted of choice. Matches up well against both sun and rain teams and overall just hits incredibly hard. Most of the moves are self-explanatory.
Whimsicott @ Focus Sash
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Tailwind
- Moonblast
- Beat Up
- Taunt
Next up is Whimsicott, who provides speed control. Max special attack earth power OHKOs Zacian-C, so tailwind is necessary to beat it. Beat Up is generally used for the other mode of the team, which is Cobalion, and while Helping Hand should probably be used over Taunt I did not want to lose to Venukoal sleep spam as well as my only way of denying TR.
Cobalion @ Assault Vest
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Iron Head
- Sacred Sword
- Bounce
- Stone Edge
Since Kyurem-White really hates fairies and steels I ended up picking Cobalion as it packs both Steel and Fighting STABs to threaten both of them. Most of the moves are self-explanatory, but AV was used to help against the Dialga matchup.
Incineroar @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 92 Def / 132 SpD / 28 Spe
Careful Nature
- Fake Out
- Flare Blitz
- Snarl
- Parting Shot
Obviously, just Tailwind + Kyurem-W doesn't exactly make me comfortable against the Zacian-C matchup, so slapping on Incin was a no brainer. Standard set, don't know what the EVs do, just stole them off of Pikalytics.
Regieleki @ Magnet
Ability: Transistor
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunderbolt
- Electroweb
- Volt Switch
- Protect
Wanted additional speed control as if the opposing team also packs tailwind and is faster than me Kyurem-W kind of just dies, or if they manage to stall out my tailwind. Thus, I Regieleki was also a no brainer.
Moltres-Galar @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Berserk
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Nasty Plot
- Air Slash
- Fiery Wrath
- Protect
Finally, since my Metagross/Solgaleo/NDM matchup was pretty shaky due to Cobalion being unable to hit them effectively, I wanted to use a dark/ghost type that could max to counter them. I thought Spectrier was too frail, and I didn't have any way of ensuring a Dragon Dance setup with Dragapult, so I used Moltres-G instead.
Stuff this team sucks against:
Hard TR. Can't do anything against Indeedee due to Whimsicott's Prankster.
Grimmsnarl+Bulky Steel. I can brute force Cobalion through Dialga, but I hard lose to Metagross/Solgaleo/NDM.
