This team mainly began after realizing the potential of Heatran/Zapdos/Grimmsnarl/Rillaboom. It was also slightly based off of CHALK...... (Cresselia, Heatran, Amoongus, Landorus, M-Kanghaskan). The main synergy is between Heatran and Zapdos who provide great type coverage for each other; they are the core of the team.

Zapdos' spread is very self-explanatory - I had a bulky Zapdos at first but I soon realized that its damage output was abysmal so I switched to max sp.atk/max speed. I made it bulky at first mainly due to fears of Nihilego. However, I realized that if the opponent were to use Nihilego, I would most likely lead with Heatran/Garchomp rather than Zapdos. I don't think there is too much to argue about regarding Zapdos' spread/moves/build.

Heatran is the second core of the team and is mainly used for dishing a ton of damage to Glastrier/Tyranitar/Almost anything that is weak to Heatran will be punished. Here are some defensive and offensive calcs for Heatran:
I realised KOing Nihilego was a huge priority when deciding my special attack investment:
204+ SpA Heatran Max Steelspike (130 BP) vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Nihilego: 188-224 (101.6 - 121%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Here are some more offensive calcs:
204+ SpA Heatran Max Steelspike (130 BP) vs. 252 HP / 92 SpD Eviolite Clefairy: 198-234 (111.8 - 132.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO
204+ SpA Heatran Max Flare (130 BP) vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Dynamax Glastrier: 218-258 (52.6 - 62.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
204+ SpA Heatran Helping Hand Max Flare (130 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Dynamax Spectrier with Friend Guard: 158-187 (45.1 - 53.4%) -- 37.9% chance to 2HKO ---------- Sun will help KO next turn
204+ SpA Heatran Max Steelspike (130 BP) vs. 252 HP / 44 SpD Tapu Fini: 91-108 (51.4 - 61%) -- 91% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
204+ SpA Heatran Max Flare (130 BP) vs. 172 HP / 4 SpD Assault Vest Rillaboom-Gmax: 210-248 (106.5 - 125.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Defensive Calcs:
252+ Atk Glastrier Max Quake (130 BP) vs. 132 HP / 36 Def Shuca Berry Heatran: 162-192 (88.5 - 104.9%) -- 31.3% chance to OHKO
252 SpA Spectrier Max Quake (110 BP) vs. 132 HP / 4 SpD Shuca Berry Dynamax Heatran: 130-154 (35.5 - 42%) -- guaranteed 3HKO ------ although this seems bad, Cresselia has a very good trick up its sleeve for this one...

Glastrier was the main one I was really focusing on. If any of you have a better spread for Heatran (which I am very sure there is), feel free to comment/answer with it.

Heatran | Venusaur | Quagsire was a defensive team in VGC17 - 18 and I decided to implement Amoongus as a substitute for Venusaur on this team. I didn't want to opt for Venukoal since it was non-reliant and I simply didn't want to have both Torkoal and Heatran on the same team. However, if anyone thinks that Venukoal would synergize better with the team than Amoongus, feel free to let me know.

Amoongus mainly shuts down any threats to the team temporarily or stalling out their dynamax turns. Amoongus has been absolutely CRUCIAL for me in order to win many games against bad match ups - Sand teams, rain teams, Rotom-H, Trick Room (although I'm actually okay with trick room), Moltres-G and also fast, hyper offensive teams. I opted for Sludge bomb instead of Clear smog due to Incineroar's parting shots.

Defensive Calcs:
-1 252+ Atk Tyranitar Max Rockfall (130 BP) vs. 228 HP / 164 Def Amoonguss: 91-108 (41.7 - 49.5%) -- 19.9% chance to 2HKO after sandstorm damage
-1 252+ Atk Excadrill Max Quake (130 BP) vs. 228 HP / 164 Def Amoonguss: 91-108 (41.7 - 49.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252+ Atk Choice Band Urshifu-Rapid Strike Surging Strikes (3 hits) vs. 228 HP / 164 Def Amoonguss on a critical hit: 87-102 (39.9 - 46.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Offense:
4 SpA Amoonguss Sludge Bomb vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Tapu Fini: 72-86 (40.6 - 48.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

Otherwise, Amoongus has sash and lives anything. The main plan was to outspeed base 30s by one stat point and spores at the very start of the game.

Incineroar is my main lead into Venukoal teams whilst also intimidating some mons to allow Amoongus/Heatran some better survival chances. I mainly wanted to use Incineroar against Dusclops + Incineroar where I would switch Incineroar in turn 1 and then taunt Dusclops to prevent Pain split and stalling out the 5 turns of trick room where they can pretty much do nothing. If they opt to parting shot with their Incineroar, they will have to be weary of my Amoongus' spore or my own Incineroar's parting shot. I could probably at least stall 3 turns of trick room with this method.

Defensive calcs:
252+ Atk Glastrier Max Quake (130 BP) vs. 228 HP / 156+ Def Incineroar: 148-176 (74.3 - 88.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
-1 252 Atk Life Orb Terrakion Max Rockfall (130 BP) vs. 228 HP / 156+ Def Incineroar: 164-195 (82.4 - 97.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 Atk Urshifu-Rapid Strike Surging Strikes (3 hits) vs. 228 HP / 156+ Def Incineroar on a critical hit: 180-216 (90.4 - 108.5%) -- approx. 18.8% chance to OHKO ------ I won't talk about Close Combat
84+ SpA Tapu Fini Muddy Water vs. 228 HP / 92 SpD Incineroar: 84-102 (42.2 - 51.2%) -- 2% chance to 2HKO
252 SpA Life Orb Spectrier Max Quake (110 BP) vs. 228 HP / 92 SpD Incineroar: 177-208 (88.9 - 104.5%) -- 25% chance to OHKO

Cresselia is mainly used for Ally Switch, helping hand, trick room mode and some support with icy wind. Cresselia has helped me pull so many comebacks in difficult predicaments. I just realized that Cresselia's spread is very outdated compared to the current metagame and I will change it very soon but it is supposed to be a bulky supporter.

Lastly, Garchomp helps me against the matchup against Rotom-H and if it gets off a swords dance boost, it can become terrifying. You might ask me why I opted for Rocky Helmet: to ensure that Urshifu-Rapid has a fun time trying to KO Garchomp with its Surging Strikes (plural).....
It's mainly just for switch-ins against predicted Incineroar fake outs and can remove 29% of their HP by merely switching in. It also helps against the matchup against Coalossal?!? (from what I've heard). The spread is very simply because I simply wanted to maximize attack and speed.

I would love to fit a terrain controller onto this team but I don't know how - each mon has its individual functions. I would definitely like to hear suggestions and bad match-ups this team faces.

Yes, Garchomp is good against Coalossal in a vacuum, because it resists both of its STABs and can OHKO, although you can't just autopilot, epecially against a smart player. Wolfe's Dragapult gives this team a lot of problems, since it can burn Chomp around Amoonguss or just breaking swipe. This is one example where lum berry would probably come in handy over the slightly gimmicky rocky helmet: Helping Hand max quake OHKOs pult, and you don't have to worry about Coalossal switching into Rillaboom. Alternatively, White Herb protects against intimidate and/or breaking swipe, but since your often using swords dance, it won't activate as often, so lum is probably more useful in general.

To be honest, I don't really think you need terrain, as all of them interfere with your own Pokemon in some way except Psychic, and Indeedee + Cresselia so so ridiculously passive that I don't think it is worth using over Amoonguss in this case. The team looks very good otherwise!
