I’ve had a lot of success with this team so far. I made it a few days ago, played for a few hours, and I peaked at the 1600s. There’s probably something to be improved though, so any suggestions are appreciated! Do note that I don’t want to use legendaries or mythicals, so please don’t suggest those, thanks.
Sunkern @ Berry Juice
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 248 HP / 8 SpA / 252 Spe
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 SpA
- Sweet Scent
- Endure
- Leech Seed
- Absorb
Sunkern likes a Berry Juice because he’s still just a growing seed, and he needs all the energy he can get. Sweet Scent really helps against those annoying opponents that like to use Double Team, allowing Sunkern to hit them more easily. Endure lets him survive one more hit, forcing the attacker to look into the seed’s vast eyes and see the damage they have done, how they’ve fractured a life. Everything needs to reproduce at some point, and this li’l Sunkern is deciding to get on with it right now. He seeds the opponent, making them fresh and fertile, and gives himself his own life back. Absorb is a crazy good move, as it’s able to hit prime threats like Kyogre super effectively.
Unown @ Choice Band
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpA
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 SpA
- Hidden Power [Steel]
Unown is incredible in Ubers. How has this thing not been banned to AG yet? It’s absolutely broken. Lonely + a Choice Band + 252 Attack EVs baffles and bewilders opponents, playing tricky mind games. Hidden Power [Steel] is great for hitting top Pokemon like Xerneas, and stopping them before they can do too much damage.
Gardevoir (F) @ Love Ball
Ability: Telepathy
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 SpA
- Attract
- Charm
- Draining Kiss
- Swagger
The Love Ball is a great item for Gardevoir. Do I really need to explain why? All of her moves serve a purpose in seducing the opponent, making them far too lovestruck to fight. I’m not really sure if Gardevoir is the best choice or not though, should I use Lopunny instead?
Ledyba @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Early Bird
Happiness: 0
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Agility
- String Shot
- Frustration
- Curse
Ledyba understands the importance of getting up at the crack of dawn to fight, which is why he wakes up nice and early every day with Early Bird. He aims to be the fastest he can be with Agility and String Shot, and trains for hours to get these moves just right -- if you see him pull it off, tell me! We haven’t quite gotten there yet. After his training, he gets so bent out of shape that he has no choice but to use Frustration. He quite likes Cursing the opponent as well, saying horrible things like “gosh golly darn it”, “dingus”, and even the sinful “cakesniffing, fobbing toad-spotted maggot pie”. This of course makes the opponent enraged beyond belief, and I have often had several yellow-furred monkeys thrown at me because of this.
Wooper @ Lagging Tail
Ability: Damp
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Rock Smash
- Dig
- Swagger
- Recover
Wooper is one of the Terrible Tyrants™ of the Uber tier, so it’s no wonder why I chose one for the team. Rock Smash is a ridiculously powerful move, Dig wastes valuable PP, Swagger is just to prove that Woop Woop knows he’s better than you, and Recover is to keep the god in battle.
Bidoof @ Leftovers
Ability: Simple
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpA
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Laser Focus
- Sheer Cold
- Horn Drill
- Guillotine
Bidoof. The god among Ubers, stronger than even Wooper or Unown. With its all knowing wisdom and benevolent glory, it will give the opponent a painless death, far more than they deserve. Laser Focus allows the god himself to strike down any foe upon the next turn, as no one can stand in his way. It is a Pokemon -- excuse me, a god -- to be feared and respected, and I hope none of you dare to suggest changes for this high being of great eminence, glory, and pulchritude.
Well, that’s the team. It’s worked extremely well for me so far, and I aim to get to #1 on the leaderboard. What improvements can I make to get there? Thanks :D
