I wanted to build a team around the Mega Zam + z move Garchomp core

Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Psychic

- Focus Blast
- Shadow Ball
I chose this for immediate speed control. I went with three attacks set because I'm not particularly comfortable with using setup moves. It checks nearly every offensive mon in the tier including Koko, Mega Lopp and Medicham

Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stone Edge
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Swords Dance
Second one of the core I wanted a team around, it serves as my stealth rocker and nuke. It really appreciate Mega Zam's ability to check the faster threats. It's Garchomp. There's not much to say about it
Greninja-Ash @ Choice Specs
Ability: Battle Bond
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Ice Beam
- Dark Pulse
- Hydro Pump
- Water Shuriken
At this point, I still needed a cleaner. Luckily, there is one that fits well with the main core, Greninja. I went with ice beam over spikes because I have another team member that is a better spiker. This way, I ensure that Bulu won't be getting any funny ideas
Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 24 Def / 232 SpD
Calm Nature
- Spikes
- Leech Seed
- Power Whip
- Thunder Wave
After the offensive core, I still needed something to handle the likes of Lele and Koko. Luckily, Ferrothorn does that very well. With twave, it provides additional speed control for Garchomp while at the same time, being both the team's steel type and taking over Greninja's spikes. I chose power whip over any other moves because Rotom is so annoying
Toxapex @ Black Sludge
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 140 Def / 116 SpD
Calm Nature
- Haze
- Recover
- Knock Off
- Toxic Spikes
Another issue with the team was that Serperior rips through it. With toxic spikes and haze, I can put Serperior at bay while knock off is to ensure that every choice scarfer will lose their scarf and make life a lot easier for Mega Zam. That ev spread is just random. I have no idea what that does
Tornadus-Therian @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Defog
- U-turn
- Hurricane
- Knock Off
Finally, I still needed hazard removal. While I love hazards, I most certainly don't want to be on the receiving end of it. So I just used Tornadus because it's probably the best defogger in the tier and it is able to provide additional knock offs. It also serves as an emergency switch in to Medicham if needed but that's a bit much of a stretch
