shovel knight (Sandygast) @ Eviolite
Ability: Water Compaction
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Stealth Rock
- Shore Up
- Earth Power
- Shadow Ball
Primary rocks setter for the team, it's pretty bulky and can tank a couple of hits and recover with shore up. I find it struggles against common hyper offensive mons like Scovillain and Leafeon, and they can both setup on my switch.
uni (Pincurchin) @ Leftovers
Ability: Lightning Rod
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Discharge
- Surf
- Recover
- Toxic Spikes
Since tspikes is really hard to get rid of in this tier, I decided to incorporate a tspikes setter that can also recover, surf is a nasty surprise to many sudowoodo coming in and thinking they can set some rocks. Lightning rod goes over electric surge to catch mons like luxray and dedenne off guard.
nanner (Tropius) @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Harvest
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 244 HP / 12 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Protect
- Leech Seed
- Substitute
- Hurricane
Stall mon similar to garganacl, leech seed does a pretty good job of forcing switches while still offering recovery to banana bird. Hurricane is coverage for mons like Scovillain, and can offer significant chip on those mons. Protect and sub are self explanatory.
(Swalot) @ Black Sludge
Ability: Liquid Ooze
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Body Press
- Poison Jab
- Clear Smog
- Pain Split
Swalot is a great defensive presence, it offers a good defensive typing while being able to stop certain pokemon from sweeping. I have considered av swalot for a counter to eruption quilava, although pain split is too important to lose.
did you know (Flareon) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Flash Fire
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Lava Plume
- Wish
- Protect
- Will-O-Wisp
Walls mons like the above mentioned grass types, does a good job on wisping leafeon and can hardcounter sun teams and hail teams alike. Can also wishpass to other mons.
idk rapid spin (Delibird) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Insomnia
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 248 HP / 8 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Freeze-Dry
- Spikes
- Memento
there just because of rapid spin.
I have considered other hazard removal options like Toedscruel, however this puts my team at significant risk of just getting bullied by physical attackers.
