120mm (Blastoise-Mega) (M) @ Blastoisinite
Ability: Rain Dish
Level: 50
EVs: 25 HP / 32 SpA / 9 Spe
Modest Nature
- Water Spout
- Aura Sphere
- Dark Pulse
- Fake Out

Blastoise "suffers from success", having plenty of moves to choose from. In addition to water spout, my main damage dealing spread move, I opted for mega-launcher boosted coverage in the form of aura sphere and dark pulse. Fake out is a key move in this set as it gives my teammates a turn to set up either trick room or tailwind. EVs to outspeed Dragapult in tailwind.

London Bridge (Archaludon) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Stamina
Level: 50
EVs: 32 HP / 32 SpA / 2 Spe
Modest Nature
- Electro Shot
- Draco Meteor
- Flash Cannon
- Protect

To help Blastoise sweep in the rain, Archaludon offers high damage moves that do not overlap in type. Leftovers, stamina, and protect help most in the endgame. While it has the EVs to outspeed Dragapult in tailwind, it can also work in trick room. Pokemon being useful in either mode is a common theme in this team.

TEAmwork (Sinistcha) @ Coba Berry
Ability: Hospitality
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 32 HP / 14 Def / 20 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Life Dew
- Rage Powder
- Matcha Gotcha
- Trick Room

With rain already covering the fire weakness, I opted for a Coba berry. Hospitality, life dew, and rage powder all make sure Blastoise does maximum damage with water spout. Matcha gotcha is a nice way to break sashes and heal at the same time. This pokemon can also set trick room.

Birb (Pelipper) (F) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Drizzle
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 2 HP / 32 SpA / 32 Spe
Modest Nature
- Hurricane
- Tailwind
- Wide Guard
- Protect

This is my only tailwind setter. Hurricane is a strong option to help offensively, while wide guard can be very useful in specific matchups, especially against Sinistcha. Protect and a focus sash ensure reliability.

Chain Chomp (Farigiraf) (F) @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Armor Tail
Level: 50
EVs: 32 HP / 14 Def / 20 SpD
Sassy Nature
- Psychic Noise
- Trick Room
- Rain Dance
- Helping Hand

Farigiraf is useful because it not only sets trick room, but also rain. Once rain is already up, helping hand becomes a further modifier. I found psychic noise to be particularly useful in the Venusaur and Mega Venusaur matchups.

Checkmate (Kingambit) (M) @ Black Glasses
Ability: Defiant
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 32 HP / 31 Atk / 3 Def
Adamant Nature
- Kowtow Cleave
- Sucker Punch
- Swords Dance
- Protect

As the final piece in the puzzle, Kingambit provides a strong priority attack. Swords dance, on the other hand, also makes it a setup threat, especially as opponents may otherwise try to stall out trick room or tailwind with protect.
