Pokémon Rate My Team

Well, i am kinda stuck against Kyron (He defeated twice my Mono-Electric with his stupid Cradily in his Mono-Grass). I have a feeling he's deeply going to rely on Scizor and Genesect, two of the best Bug types around. There is also Volcarona but i doubt he would use him against a Mono-Water team.

Politoed

Politoed (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Drizzle
EVs: 252 HP/ 252 SDef/ 4 SAtk
Calm Nature (+SDef,-Atk)

  • Encore
  • Scald
  • Ice Beam
  • Focus Blast

Using Josh's Politoed. He used it against me in a battle and it was really good so i decided to try it out. Encore just screws up leads that try to set up Hazards. Scald is STAB while Ice Beam is coverage against Grass and Flying types while Focus Blast is more coverage.

Gorebyss

Gorebyss (M) @ White Herb
Trait: Hydration
EVs: 4 HP/ 252 SAtk/ 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd,-Atk)

  • Scald
  • Baton Pass
  • Ice Beam
  • Shell Smash

Well, i think i never saw this beast in Mono-Water. He first uses Shell Smash to boost his Stats and then passes them off with Baton Pass. White Herb restores Defense losses. Scald is STAB while Ice Beam is coverage.

Rotom-W

Rotom-W @ Choice Specs
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 SAtk/ 252 Spd/ 4 HP
Timid Nature (+Spd,-Atk)

  • Volt Switch
  • Thunder
  • Trick
  • Hydro Pump

My scout and SmashPass receiver. Choice Specs is for the extra Power. Volt Switch is STAB scouting while Thunder is STAB and never misses in the Rain. Trick screws up walls and Hydro Pump is Rain-boosted STAB. With the Shell Smash boost, he gets guaranteed OHKO'es most of the time.

Lanturn

Lanturn @ Leftovers
Trait: Volt Absorb
EVs: 252 Def/ 216 SDef/ 40 HP
Calm Nature (+SDef,-Atk)

  • Scald
  • Ice Beam
  • Heal Bell
  • Volt Switch

He's my Galvantula counter. He absorbs Electric attacks directed towards Water types. Scald is STAB and Ice Beam is coverage. Heal Bell is for those annoying Status problems while Volt Switch is scouting.

Azumarill

Azumarill @ Choice Band
Trait: Huge Power
EVs: 252 Atk/ 252 HP/ 4 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk,-SAtk)

  • Waterfall
  • Aqua Jet
  • Double-Edge
  • Superpower

He is my second SmashPass receiver. Once he has a Shell Smash boost, he is virtually unstoppable, OHKO'ing absolutely everything that doesn't resist it. Waterfall is STAB while Aqua Jet is STAB Priority. Double-Edge hits ridiculously hard while Superpower is coverage.

Kingdra

Kingdra @ Chesto Berry
Trait: Sniper
EVs: 172 Spd/ 168 Atk/ 164 HP/ 4 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk,-SAtk)

  • Rest
  • Waterfall
  • Outrage
  • Dragon Dance

Well, somebody leaked that Kyron had problems with ChestoRest and who does it better than Kingdra? Well, there is Giratina and such but..... Ok. Rest + Chesto Berry is very annoying. Waterfall is STAB while Outrage is powerful STAB. Dragon Dance just makes Kingdra into a more powerful sweeper than it is currently.

So this is the end of my Mono-Rain. I hope you like it!

You can't have Drizzle & Swift Swim. -- http://pokemondb.net/pokebase/meta/13501/extra-db-league-rules

"no abilities/moves that raise evasion.Weather abilities are also banned if they raise any stats but if the prevent status like hydration does then its fine(Also the S.Defense boost you get from Sandstorm doesnt count)"
Right.... I'll put Hydration.
Lol, Superpower is not good coverage against a Mono-Bug team. xD
Right..... My bad xD
Make Rotom-W a Scarf set, you don't want to be swept.
Okey dokey.
Focus blast is useless on politoed for a mono bug team
Givem HP rock.
Interesting... I like it, Giga.
Thinks i want use Volcarona http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lnwltqhA7R1qzj7lm.png i like taking risk it makes it more fun now i see why ash does it all the time.
Uh... Beware of a rain counter Volcorona, and other Pokes too. Mono-water rain is predictable.
Azumarril w/Choice band + shell smash stat boost plus rain makes water moves 200% more powerful.
Holy crap O.o And that hurts.
Where are you getting bug Pokemon if it's Mono Ice he's facing?

Alright, haven't answered an RMT in awhile, but I'll try my best.
UberPwnage obviously will use Ice types, so take advantage of that and use moves and Pokemon that target the Ice weakness. Remember that it's an mono Ice team, meaning UP will almost definitely be using something we call a hail team.

Politoed: Nice. Conserve your Focus Blast PP for Abomasnow! :3 It will 2HKO Obama, which is nice.

Gorebyss: SmashPass? Nice. However, you should consider replacing Ice Beam, as Ice resists Ice. You can try something that hits Ice Pokes for Super Effective damage, like HP Rock. And replace Scald for Surf.

Rotom-W: I'd go for a Scarf.

Lanturn: Um....UP is using Ice types, right? Meaning...he has no Galvantula....
Anyway, I'd replace this guy for a Keldeo.

Keldeo-R @ Leftovers

Trait: Justified
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)

  • Substitute
  • Calm Mind
  • Surf / Hydro Pump
  • Secret Sword

A basic SubCM set, and it really hurts. Substitute allows you to set up Calm Mind. Hopefully you know what Calm Mind does..., anyway, it basically does +1 SAtk, +1 SDef. Surf and Hydro Pump abuses STAB and Rain. Surf is used if you are an accuracy stickler, and Hydro Pump is used for the power. Secret Sword hits Physical Defense, STAB, and scores on them Ice types you're going to face.

If you insist on a cleric, you can replace Rotom-W with this guy.

Azumarill: No suggestions.

Kingdra: I'd replace this guy for a different Pokemon...

Cloyster (F) @ Focus Sash

Trait: Skill Link
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)

  • Shell Smash
  • Rock Blast
  • Razor Shell
  • Icicle Spear

Basic Cloyster Shell Smash set. Shell Smash lets you get +2 Atk and Spd. Rock Blast scores on UP's Ice types again, hitting them super effectively. Razor Shell is STAB and rain boosted. Icicle Spear is STAB and can still hurt the Ice types that resist it, or neutrally, like Mamoswine.

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE You stopped hating me! :D
Mamo will likely be running Thick Fat.
I know. There are others, like Abomasnow.
I have a Cloyster with skill link and its Icicle Spear always hits 5 times meaning 25X5=150 power meaning as strong as hyper beam, sturdy proof,STAB,no wait after use like hyper beam, and it has 30 use.
Yes we all know of this combo
I hope we all know about it xD
It's funny because 25x5 is not 150.
true! its 125!
