My thoughts on the Rocketfox situation:
The Rocketfox situation was undoubtedly funny at first. New user posts something, thinks they're better than everyone else, calls you wrong, argues with staff, etc. It's definitely a trope we've seen before, but it still is funny. However, at this point, it's getting more annoying than anything. It's sad that we live in a society where people think they're better than everyone else and aren't able to take criticism well, but that's the world we live in, unfortunately.
First, I think it's important to understand that the "Good x for x" questions aren't asking you to construct the absolute best teams/movesets/whatever you could possibly construct, but rather, provide good options people can use. This means that there is no "Best Team" or "Best Moveset", so saying someone's wrong for thinking there's better teams is quite honestly ludicrous.
Rocketfox seems to have a problem with the way sumwun constructed it's team, specifically that they used 2 HM slaves (and the Gyarados calculation). This is the perfect time to introduce the fact that everyone has their different play styles. Whether it be getting done quickly or having plenty of type diversity, everyone has their different preferences on how to play the game. sumwun in particular seems to prefer less team members to allow the battlers to get more experience, which makes sense why there's 2 HM slaves. Rocketfox seems to prefer having 6 members and more type diversity. This is ok, everyone plays the game differently. In particular, Rocketfox's choices look ok, excluding Alakazam, because not everyone is aware of this glitch that allows you to get one. The movesets could use some work imo, but then again, I don't know enough about IGTs to provide good advice. I certainly don't think this team is the best, but that's not the point of IGT threads. The point is to have a variety of teams that can appeal to different players. You can make good teams, but you can never make a team that will appeal to everyone's preferences. There is no "Best" team.
So can everyone accept that and move on already?
