"Aaaaaaahhhhh!" Pika yelled as Kat's Corviknight fell down and crashed into the ground. They all landed in a heap in the middle of Nuvema Town, much to the shock of the town-dwellers. "Ugh... are you all right, Corviknight?" Kat asked. Her Corviknight slowly got up, seemingly perfectly fine. "Ouch, ouch, ouch... my bone!" Pika complained. "Which bone?" "The one that hurts!" "Which one hurts?!" "The hurting one!" "Oh, for the love of... ugh! I don't even know why I ask you anything!" N groaned, exasperated. Drifty had been faceplanted in the ground and was slowly getting back on his paws. Hex was crying. "Hex, what's wrong?" Kat asked. "I b-bruised my elbow!" "Is it just me, or is everyone a bunch of babies today?" N asked. "I have no clue." Kat replied as she returned Corviknight to its Poké Ball. "Katherine?" asked a voice? The group turned to see an old lady slowly walking towards them. "G-Grandma?!" Kat cried, eyes wide in shock. The group stared at each other. "Grandma?" N asked. "Grandma Blat." Hex snickered. "Oh my. So it was you who caused this commotion, eh?" "Grandma, I was just flying my friends here to Nuvema Town, and we've really gotta be going, so, uh..." "What's the rush, dear? Off to get some more of those... Gym Badges, was it?" But before Kat could reply, her grandma turned towards the rest of the group. "Oh, are these your friends? They're adorable, Katherine." The group stared at each other again. N opened his mouth to speak, but Pika cut him off saying "Why, thank you very much." while looking overly proud. N facepalmed. "Katherine, how have you been? I hope you haven't been getting into any sort of trouble." "I haven't, grandma! Now we, uh, have to go...!" "Eee? Katherine?" Drifty said in confusion, looking at Kat. The entire group stared at her and her face went red in embarassment. A sly look went across Pika and Hex's faces. "Grandma, we can talk about what's been up with me later, okay? I can introduce you to my friends and everything, we just gotta go right now!" "Well, okay, dear. I'll be here if you need me." Kat's grandma said, but as Kat turned around to leave, her grandma spoke again. "Oh, how has Ditto been? It seemed so happy to be out and about, traveling with you." "Ditto's been great, grandma. Bye-bye!" Kat responded before grabbing Pika's arm and towing her away. The rest of the group followed them while Kat's grandma waved good-bye. When they were around a corner, Kat let out a deep sigh. For a minute, all was silent. Until Pika spoke up. "Hey, Katherine, what's the matter?" she asked with a smug look on her face. "Don't call me Katherine!" Kat yelled at her. "Oh, why not, Blatherine?" "B-Be quiet...!" N stared at them and sighed heavily. "Pika, Hex, we don't have time for-" "Katheeerine!" Drifty snorted in laughter. Kat's face went red with anger and twisted into a snarly frown and nasty glare. "Stop calling me Katherine!" she shrieked as Pika, Hex, and Drifty cowered. She breathed heavily, glaring at them. N looked surprised. They kept walking on the path they were on. "Wow. I've been doing that for a while, doesn't seem to work." "It doesn't, huh?" "Not really. Pika's still being dumb and annoying. You gotta tell me how you pulled that off." "Well, I-" Pika then cut her off. "Mr. Lamehead can't pull it off 'cause he's super lame and is a dumb lamehead." "He's a meanie too." "Eee, he's a lamehead with a booger brain." Drifty said matter-of-factly. "Wow. That was certainly intelligent and not immature in the slightest." N snarked, rolling his eyes at their childish insults. "You're welcome." Pika replied happily. N sighed heavily and turned back to Kat. "It's hard to put up with them. I mean, I barely know Hex and Drifty, but they're like Pika's clones or something." "Is Pika always like this?" "For as long as I've known her, yes. She's been annoying me for a while now. It's kinda hard to take it..." "And now you basically have three of her." "Exactly." Pika's eyes went wide. "Uh, guys..." "I wish she'd calm down and stop acting like that, but she won't. She'll probably be eighty years old and still telling me that I'm a lamehead." "Wouldn't surprise me, and I barely know her!" "Earth to guys... ya gotta look at this, guys..." "Wouldn't surprise me either, and I know her well. It's like she was so much less annoying when we first met, and she just got more annoying over time." "Weird." "Mr. Maternal Harmonica Groupchat, look..." "Don't call me that. Anyway, yeah, it is weird, but it seems true. When I first met her, she seemed fine. But now look at her... she's more immature than a five year old and crazy as they come." "What was she like when you first met her?" "Can't say I exactly know. But she seemed nicer and more polite, and defenetely not this irritating. When I first met her, I thought that it was actually great that she was travelling with Kylani and me. Now I want to strangle her on a daily basis." Then Drifty leaped up and screamed "Eee!", which sent a shock wave towards N and Kat, and they covered their ears and almost fell over. "Augh, my ears...!" "Ugh...! Drifty, what was that for...?!" Drifty pointed towards Pika and Hex, who were staring at them cluelessly and pointing towards a building. "What in the...?!" Kat exclaimed. "KitKat, I think we found a lab." Pika said. Kat looked surprised. "KitKat? Hmm... I like that. Just call me that instead of... Katherine." She winced as she said Katherine. "Okay, KitKatherine." "Pika...!" "Heh, sorry." Pika snickered, not seeming sorry at all. "All right, enough of this. Since this is where Kylani and Ghetsis were, it's pretty safe to assume that this is Ghetsis's lab. And when we find Kylani, we can get some answers." "Actually, when we find Laniky, we can give her a savage beating." Hex said, smiling insanely. "If you don't shut up, you'll be the one getting savagely beaten." N snarled. Hex pouted. "Eee, lamehead..." Drifty muttered darkly. Pika opened her mouth to speak, but N shoved her so she'd get moving, and they walked towards the labrotory.
