"Pika, wake up!" N yelled, shoving Pika, who had been snoring loudly in the next seat. "W-Wah! Look out, they're gonna-" she cried, then cut herself off as she jolted awake. N, Hex, and Drifty stared at her wide-eyed. "...Uh..." she muttered, looking around. "Oh, uh... sorry. I was having a nightmare." "Pika, you have drool on your face." "Huh?" Pika wiped her mouth with her sleeve. "What was the nightmare about?" Hex asked. "Hmm... well... I was standing next to some kid... then something or someone tried to attack us, and I freaked out..." "Eee, I can tell..." Drifty sighed. "Some kid? Who was it? What did they look like? Was it someone you know?" "Hex, why are you interrogating Pika?" "Because I can, Mr. Maternal Harmonica Groupchat." Hex replied. N started twitching. "What... was that...?!" Luckily, Pika replied to Hex before N could continue. "Hmm... I don't really know... it was a boy... with brown hair and brown eyes, and wearing glasses... he seemed... oddly familiar... like I've seen him before, but I can't remember where..." "Weird." "I know, right?" Then Drifty looked out the window. "Eee! Land ahoy!" "Huh?" the group asked. Then they looked out the windows as well and saw land coming into view. "Next stop, Castelia City! I think!" Hex exclaimed. "Wow... from where we are, Alola isn't even visible..." Pika muttered. "Of course, dummy, Alola's a different region, not the next town, you know." "Wow, really? Wow! We never would've guessed! Wow, thanks, Mr. Harmonica! Wow!" Hex replied sarcastically. Pika and Drifty practically fell over laughing. N's face was going red with anger and he looked like he was about to scream. So Hex, Pika, and Drifty got up and ran around in circles repeatedly yelling "Wow!", "Yahoo!", and "Eee!" repsectively. Many of the people on the ferry gave them nasty looks. "Pika, Hex, Drifty, for frick's sake, sit down!" N yelled angrily. They slowly sulked back to their seats, and all was silent... for a moment. "Alola-ah! Alola-ah! Ah-ah-ah! Alola-ah!" "Eee for the three thee eees!" "Go go rocket blaster shoes!" "Shut up, you idiots! We'll be kicked off the ferry!" N shrieked. Drifty, Pika, and Hex looked at each other, got up again, and burst into song while dancing. "Eee, out where the mountains fell on top of us!" "What?" "Out where lightning hit me in the knee!" "In the knee? What?!" "I can swear there's some ancestral spirits watching me!" "What?!" The people on the ferry were getting more annoyed by the minute. "Eee, I really can't remember this part!" "But it sounded pretty cool!" "And I feel like I'm rollin' around in the mud!" "...What...?" "Eee, eee, eee..." "I want a gyro!" "I'll be holding a gyro 'till the end of the night!" N suddenly stuck out his foot and tripped Pika, and she fell straight to the ground. Hex and Drifty stared at her for a minute, then turned towards N. "You meanie!" Drifty cried and tried to slap N with his ribbons. "Kamikaze!" Hex yelled and leaped into the air, trying to body slam N, but he quickly dodged. "Ow!" she whimpered as she hit the ground. "What is wrong with you-" Suddenly, the ferry docked at a pier. "Oh, we're here, finally..." N muttered. The people on the ferry exited as quickly as possible, trying to get away from Pika, Hex, and Drifty. "Mr. Natural Harmona Groupius, you're a lamehead." Pika said with her face buried in the floor. N slowly turned towards her, gawking. "...What's a lamehead?" "You." Pika replied. N could hear muffled laughter and whimpering from Hex. Drifty almost fell over laughing at him and repeatedly said "Lamehead!" while pointing at him. N groaned angrily as Hex and Pika both got to their feet. "Come on." N said as they got out of the ferry. "Whoa!" Hex yelled in surprise. There were buildings and people everywhere. "Wow, it looks just like I remember it..." Pika muttered, smiling. "Eee..." "Look at that! And that! And that! And- whoa!" Hex cried, and dashed off. "And Hex is just as annoying as I remember her..." N sighed as they dashed off in pursuit. However, after a minute of pursuit, Pika was running a bit too fast, and crashed into a girl who was walking out of a Gym and looking a bit upset. "Eee!" "...Oh no..." N muttered. Hex was standing nearby and looked confused. "...Owie..." Pika whimpered. The girl she had crashed into started flailing, trying to get Pika off of her. "Get off! You're too heavy!" "Hey, hey, what's going on?! Help!" Pika cried, also flailing. N sighed heavily and pulled Pika off of the girl, who was catching her breath. She slowly pushed herself up a bit and stared at everyone. "...Uh... what's going on...?" "Sorry, my, uh... companion here wasn't looking where she was going." N said. "OK...? Well, my name's Kat." "Cool! Nice to meet you, Blat!" Hex exclaimed. Kat looked at her blankly. Pika and Drifty started laughing. "Every time... my name's N, and these are Pika and Hex. And this Sylveon that can magically talk is Drifty." "Eee!" Pika looked at the Gym that Kat had come out of. "Hey, were you challenging what's-his-face the Bug dude Gym Leader guy?" "Yeah, actually, I was. But I lost... all I have is the Basic Badge. Wait... do you live around here?" "Nah, I live in Alola." "Alola? Huh. Never been there. I was raised in Motostoke." "Huh? In Autostroke?" Hex asked. "Um... Motostoke." "Never heard of it." "It's in Galar." "Ah, cool! Well, I was raised in Kanto and moved to Alola." "Wow, that's funny! I moved to Nacrene recently!" "So we both come from different Regions and now live in other Regions?! Wow!" N tapped his foot impatently, waiting for their chatter to end. "Eee, everyone comes from everywhere.." "So, wait... if you live in Alola, what are you doing here?" "Oh, simple. We're hunting down a loser evil team jerk and someone who we thought was a friend that betrayed us." "Wait, huh?!" N's jaw dropped. "Pika, you just told her about all that?!" "I... wasn't supposed to?"

"Cut it out!" The boy spun around to face his pursuer, a girl that looked to be about his age. She stopped and smiled at him, while he glared back. "Oh, come on, Gladion! Can't you just hold still?" "No! You've been chasing me around, and I'm sick of it! What is wrong with you?!" he responded angrily. The girl flinched. "Pika, there are times I wish you were back in Kanto or wherever you came from!" She just blinked in response and he turned around. "...Gladion?" she asked quietly. "What?!" before he could even react, she charged at him and tackled him to the ground. "Augh! Let go of me, you little-" Then she pulled out a rope and started tying his legs up. "What the heck are you doing?!" "What's it look like?" She responded cheerfully. "I'm gonna tie ya to a tree!" "What?!" Then she started dragging him over to a nearby tree. "All this for a freaking hug?!" "Yep!" She was acting as if it was everyday business to chase someone because they wouldn't hug you and tie them to a tree. Then she started lifting him up, and he started flailing his arms. He must've hit Pika four times, yet she didn't let go. Then, when he was lifted up, she started tying his arms to the tree, and he started crying out in rage. "Sheesh, calm down! I'm almost done!" "Pika, I'm going to kill you when this is over!" "Okay!" she said, still smiling. He was seething with rage and gave her a nasty glare when she stood in front of him. Then she flung her arms around him in a hug, and he was startled to say the least. He had known that she would hug him, but he was still startled for some reason. He was squished in between her and the tree, and his anger seemed to disappear. He just kinda stared at her awkwardly as she eventually pulled away. "See? That wasn't so hard, huh?" "You... you tied me... to a tree..." She shrugged. "I wouldn't have if ya would've just stayed still!" He couldn't think of any words to say as Pika untied the rope around his arms.
Meanwhile, in the Battle Buffet, a girl named Kylani and a boy named N have finally finished battling the Trainers and are enjoying their meal. Kylani kept glancing over her shoulder, and N seemed confused. "What's up?" "Oh, it's just... I wonder what Pika's up to..." "Something crazy and nonsensical, no doubt." N responded, raising an eyebrow. Kylani laughed. Then, suddenly, someone yelled "You!" They both turned around to see a man storming into the Battle Buffet, clearly outraged. "Ghetsis?!" they both cried. "I thought you were back in Unova! What are you doing here in Alola?!" Kylani exclaimed. "T-That's none of your business!" he snapped back. N sighed and facepalmed.
