lmao I opened Pokebase by accident and the first thing I see is the meltdown in Meta. Are things really that bad?

Fair enough. I only really meant that with how funny I found the source to be.
I honestly think the Steel-type would be more fitting, but my best guess is to indicate Flying-types are immune to it in Gen 2. It was the first stage hazard introduced in those games, prior to Pokémon with the grounded state, so it's likely in reference to Flying's immunity to Ground.
