What makes it worse is that I posted that set in the Palossand moveset thread.

I did make this however:

on the path that I frequently surrounded
and that same path was the location where
a perfect storm's destiny became my nightmare.

A king of bare branches that sang to the trees
its ballad of loose ends that descended on me
to wasted threads of a life without flight
where claws of oblivion snared to tame fright
and claim lives.

To soar above fate was an impossible task
and closure from the deities is what I asked.
To be an immortal person is not what I claimed
yet I couldn't find solace in my final days.


And I fell into the afterglow.
A golden light, shining and mellow.
It wasn't the abyss I'd foreseen.
It was the new beginnings opened to me.
