In case you don't know, a new Shiny-hunting method is introduced in Generation 4, called Radar-chaining. They removed the feature in Generation 5 but returned it in Generation 6, which was then replaced by the Horde and S.O.S Chain method in Gen 7. In ORAS, a similar thing called the DexNav appears instead, though it is quite different from the Pokeradar.
Radar-chaining is pretty easy to understand, and one of the most efficient shiny-hunting method in Gen 4 and Gen 6, since it raises the chances of finding a shiny to a drastic 1/200! However, there are several basicss to radar-chain that you need to understand if you're interested in Shiny-hunting using it, and those basics can be read here:
