The Switch can't really connect with anything, except Pokémon GO, but I don't really like playing that. Nintendo's older consoles had backwards compatibility, Wii can play Gamecube games, 3DS can play DS games, and Wii U can play Wii games. I don't get why they stopped doing that.

I hope for the same thing. Great minds think alike, so I guess we have great noggins lol. If the next console has a way to communicate with Pokébank, then I might think of getting it, since the Switch can't.

That's kind of how I feel about the Switch too. I'm perfectly happy with the Wii U and my 3DS. So what if the Switch has Breath of the Wild? The Wii U had it first. You want to capture things in Super Mario Odyssey? There are loads of hacks out there that add Cappy physics to almost any Mario game. Want to play as Ridley in Smash Ultimate? Well let me introduce you to Super Smash Bros. Crusade, they had Ridley playable long before Nintendo did. And for Pokémon, as long as I'm concerned, Ultra Sun & Moon are the final Pokémon games in the series.

Heh, sorry for the rant, but that's how I feel about it. I used to be exited about the Switch, until I realized it was just another Nintendo console. Also have you noticed most Switch games are just remakes or ports of popular games? Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Splatoon 2, Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition, Pokkén Tournament DX, Fortnite, and Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy. That's all I'm going to name because there are A LOT of them.

Do you think the Switch is Nintendo's biggest WORLD DOMINATION device? I do, which is why I refuse to buy one. (Also since my parents say we have enough Nintendo products. :P )
