Yeah, this is the thing: I don't see how those questions are different to any other question on the site. There are lots of questions you could say are "guide" questions, and ideally they all have good answers with or without a tag.
Maybe I don't get it and you'll explain more in the thread. I would frame it as a discussion so we get more opinions.

* Aside from being manufactured by someone knowledgeable, are these much different from any other PokeBase question such that they'd need a tag?

In general, I think it's good to have "contrived" questions that people make so they can post an answer with a guide or some useful info. I've tried to promote it before: https://pokemondb.net/pokebase/meta/63239
I'm just wary that formalising this with a tag, etc. may put people off doing it. Certainly make a thread promoting the idea in general, though.
