PokéBase - Pokémon Q&A

Wall for amethyst (page 44)

Well, the heat is still bearable, quite fun even. The real tenacious humans are the ones who live in the cold. The English live in sub-20 temperatures throughout the year, while the US has frequent -20 temperatures. The real tenacious are the people in Siberia, Scandinavia, Greenland and other such places. Cold is far worse than the heat. Believe me.

He quite likes Cursing the opponent as well, saying horrible things like “gosh golly darn it”, “dingus”, and even the sinful “cakesniffing, fobbing toad-spotted maggot pie”. This of course makes the opponent enraged beyond belief, and I have often had several yellow-furred monkeys thrown at me because of this.

Well, in this case, it's not actually global warming, though I'm pretty sure it has contributed to the extreme temperatures. It's just this place's unique geography. It's a pretty big explanation, but there's a like, a ******* large desert 250 miles away. That's pretty close in geological terms.
Though yeah, global warming's *****.

Yeah, it does get unbearable staying outside a lot of time, but life has to go on, doesn't it? You just stay indoors and use the air-conditioner. There's literally nothing else you can do. Funnily my city is in the 'temperate' zone , if you remember those from Geography. And then, there's the pollution. But at least we don't have tornadoes and whiteouts and constant rain (The burst out laughing when the English declared a 20-something celsius temperature a heat wave)

Also, we really can't do anything about these people. It seems there are less people with common sense than Kanye West fans

Livable? The entire Northwestern part of my country faces such temperatures, and life goes on perfectly. My country's capital is located here. And let's see, this part has like some 200 million people living here. You get used to it. It sometimes goes over 50 too.
And then the winters drop into freezing. It's possible to get both sunstroke and frostbite here, if I'm right

Lowest here reachea 1-2 degrees Celsius, while it's about 10 degrees on normal days. The funny thing is, average summer temperatures are 45 degrees

Yeah well, I was in the easy part till now. It's now that the hard parts start. But enough about education, it's messed up everywhere.
How's life? Is it cold where you live? Cuz I'm freezing here

Yeah  my country's education system is infamous for religiously overworking its students with unnecessary load. Our university entrance exams are the hardest in the world. Coaching for these examinations os offered for 5th grade, and is now a multi-billion dollar industry. My education system is f-ed up. But at least those who survive lead some of the world's biggest companies

Ah, about that... Those GCSEs are kinda useless, as the only thing they'll ever be used for identification (Your 10th Grade report card is valid identification proof here). Also, that National Merit Scholarship thing only applies if you get like a top 100 rank out of like 10,000 people. You can see where this is going
