Oh I didn't read your question correctly it seems. Well I haven't actually tried to breed a shiny a while, but if I needed a shiny pokemon I would just breed with the ivs I want, then give it to somebody so that they can shinify it

Not long luckily
I was trying to get a 5iv meditite off of one I got off wonder trade, and on my 4th egg I got an adamant shiny meditite with 5ivs missing special attack :)
Even though I wasn't trying to get a shiny :P
Keep in mind that I didn't have the shiny charm

I never have bred for a shiny, nor have I found one in the wild.

I never really bred for shiny Pokemon. I was much happier just finding random shiny Pokemon in the wild.
