Ooh. I played Virtual World in paper pre-BODE format. Make sure to craft 3 copies of Fusion Destiny, Destiny Hero Celestial and Dasher though for when Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer comes out. I've been sweating like hell on ladder with Eldlich and Sky Striker though I'm considering playing something a bit more engaging than those decks because as satisfying as it is to know you're properly managing your resources and truly beating your opponent on the attrition side of things, flipping trap cards or going for the same Accesscode Talker line is boring as sin so I'm tossing up between Adamancipator, Invoked Dogmatika or Phantom Knights with Rhongomyniad at the moment.

Stuff I'm eyeing from Kamigawa though? That's a tough one since I only keep my cEDH Urza deck, casual Edgar Markov deck and Mono-Green Tron for modern. However, Hinata, Crown of Dawn seems like a really interesting commander for a paradoxical outcome style commander deck in some great colours so I can throw in cards like Gilded Drake, Dockside Extortionist and it makes Brain Freeze + Underworld Breach lines really simple as I only need a Lotus Petal to start em'

Shigeki, Jukai Visionary oddly from an artwork standpoint makes me want to figure out how to make an interesting deck with it but since I sold my Gaea's Cradle back in 2020 I struggle to maintain motivation with Mono-Green/Green in general within Commander but Rakdos Hidetsugu and the new Dimir Umezawa look like they could pack a punch in a high-powered casual setting.

New Myojins too?! And they suck just like the originals?! Memes aside, the artwork is stunning on them, they really knocked it out of the park with this set art design-wise and still felt super Kamigawa-esque to me.  Compleated Tamiyo really has me on the fence because as you said it's controversial and a brave step for Magic story-telling. Yoshimaru is a super neat 1 drop with partner from the new commander set which is really neat and a doggo commander is always great.

On a side note as I know you used to play Yugioh on Dueling Network with Semp, DT and a few of the other folks, have you tried Yugioh Master Duel yet? I think they did a bang up job of it on launch and for a free-to-play it's monumentally easier to get into than Magic Arena. With smart currency usage from the start, you'll easily have 2-4 meta decks to play on the ladder with so I'd say give it a look if you haven't.

Wtf is going on in this new Kamigawa set, to quote MagicSpoiler "There's so much Vehicle support you could make a top gear episode" and Compleated Tamiyo is something I can't help but find tragic as she was easily in my top 3 favourite Walkers of all time.

2021 Game of the Year: Inscryption

Truly one of the best tributes to the digital card game genre. A fantastic first part does overshadow the rest of the game, but the entire package is amazing. I'm very excited to see the Kaycee's Mod come out as a full release, as that will address the "issue" of the first part of the game just being perhaps the strongest of the Slay the Spire style roguelite deckbuilders (either it or Monster Train).

I was painfully sceptical about the new Kamigawa set heading into it but the inital spoilers seem pretty cool. The Rakdos Hidetsugu actually is looking to be a decently powerful commander imo.
