Is it worth training a shiny?

i have 1 shiny, I don't know if I want it to become shiny dragonite!

really, I just answered this on meta when he asked it there.

It really depends on personal preference. Shinies are really rare, so you can keep it as proof of a rare Pokemon. As for training. If it has good stats, I would. If not, I would just evolve into a DNite and keep it in a box somewhere for bragging rights.
