I want to get to the nature preserve in white 2 but.......?

I haven't discovered Meloetta yet. Does Meloetta count? Can I still can to the nature preserve without discovering it?

Nope. Meloetta does not count and neither do victini, genesect, or keldeo. You just have to see everything else and then talk to professor juniper and then you can go to the nature preserve. So yeah, you dont need meloetta or any other event Pokemon.
