Will my Roggenrola evolve into a Gigalith if I got it from a trade, or does it have to evolve first?

You have to evolve it into a Boldore first, you cant skip evolutions.

It will only evolve if it is a Boldore, since Boldores evolve to Gigalith when traded. If you trade a simple Roggenrola, it will remain a Roggenrola.
