Showdown glitch or not?

Question

I was told that a Pokemon with Sheer Force will not take damage from Life Orb. But on Showdown, my Conkeldurr took recoil damage from it. Glitch, or was I lied to?

Pokemon with the Sheer Force ability holding a Life Orb don't take Life Orb recoil ONLY from moves that are affected by Sheer Force. So Fire Punch would not give Life Orb recoil but Earthquake would.

Hmm. That wasn't it. My Conkeldurr has: Thunderpunch, Ice Punch, Fire Punch, and Rock Slide.

It seems it was a showdown glitch because if a Pokemon has Sheer Force it doesn't take Life Orb recoil.
Which Server was this?
