How come my Pokemon's stats suck?

I think they suck. My serperior was slower than a miltank and a blastoise. So is arcanine and sceptile. Are they just that fast? And at rental masters, I found some Pokemon I use and looked at mine when at a lv. 50 battle and they suck compared to rentals. What's up with that?

It's probably because your Pokemon have not been ev trained and/or have a bad nature.
I could try and explain ev's but I think this site would do a better job.
