Does Scyther's speed decrease when it has max speed and evolves?

I'm thinking of evolving my level 100 scyther but I'm not sure if its speed will decrease

Yes, Scyther is one of those that drops a stat when evolving but it makes it up in defenses and its Atk is 20 base points higher.
