How do I know if my Pokemon if from a Japanese game?

If you want to know that your Pokémon is from a Japanese game, just check that Pokémon's pokedex entry. If it is from a Japanese game there will be a little [J] on the Info section of that Pokémon's entry. Then you know you just got a Japanese Pokémon. You can also then read that Pokémon's entry in Japanese.
