I'm guessing it would increase your HP, but do you still have a chance of getting confused?
Yes, unless your Pokemon likes the berries (and would hve been immune if it held them.)
Yes, if it likes the berry it will recover hp.
But if dislike, confusion occurs.
Same happens when it is a held item in battle.
