Does macho brace help with any gain for EVs?

There are specific bracers for different stats but macho brace is nonspecific. Will it help wth any stat?

Yes it does. It doubles the normal amount of EVs gained (whatever the EVs might be).

E.g.
Pokemon holding Macho Brace
Defeats an Audino.
Usual EVs: 2 HP
+ Macho Brace = 4 HP

Defeats a Basculin
Usual EVs: 1 Atk
+ Macho Brace = 2 Atk

etc.
