When I defeat a wild Pokemon, do I have to level up to gain the ev yield? or do I get the evs just by killing them?

When your Ev training do you have to level up to gain the ev yeild? or do you get the Evs just by killing the Pokemon.

for example I'm Hp training my Frillish on stunfisk.
they yeild 2 evs and I'm using the power weight so +4 so therefore everytime I knock out a stunfisk I get 6 evs.

Do I get 6 evs everytime I knock out a stunfisk or do I have to level up to gain the Evs?

You get the EVs just by killing them.

Level 100s can still be EV trained even though they cannot level up anymore.
