Is it possible to get Mew in HG/SS?

The only possible way you can get Mew is by an event. It was given during HG/SS's era, but ended long ago. It was the 10th Anniversary Mew. Check it out here.

You can't. Mew was only available via events that have since ended.

Mewtwo is the one you can catch in HGSS, after 16 badges and in the Cerulean Cave.

Yes, but not through regular gameplay. There was a few events a long time ago, but they are long over.
Right now, the only way to get one is to trade it from another one of your own games (requires 2 DS's), trade for one n the GTs, or trade for one with a friend.
