If I give a pokeball to a Pokemon to hold at the end of battle will it use it?

So far I know, no. They can only use item like Herbal/Berry and etc.

Pokemons can't use items made by humans so it'll just hold it, it won't have any effect. But they can use berries to restore health or heal status problems. So the answer is no it can't use a pokeball

No. Pokemon can't use items like Pokeballs or Potions as held items. The Pokeball will just be held & that's it.
