If I use Rain Dance, will a Fire type get hurt by the rain?

No.

The only Weather Moves that gradually inflict damage are Hail and Sand Storm.

Hail gradually inflicts damage to all Pokémon that aren't part Ice Type and Sand Storm gradually inflicts damage to all Pokemon that aren't part Rock, Ground or Steel Type.

Sunny Day and Rain Dance do not inflict any damage what so ever. Although Rain Dance does reduce Fire Type Moves by 50% and Sunny Day does reduce Water Type Moves by 50% when used in battle.
