What are good things to make Pokemon happy and unhappy?

I have a lv 15 Togepi in SS and 3 badges. I want to know what makes him happy and unhappy. I know that you get happy by massage and unhappy by herbs. So far I got a Zubat that I will evolve to Crobat with happiness after Golbat.
So far my team is

Quilava lv 23
Geodude lv 18
Togepi lv 15
Zubat lv 19

Plus what's ehrmagerhd? I see those pictures often and with Gurdurrs.

Gaining Happiness:

• Gain Level
• Walking Around, taking a certain amount of steps

Decreasing Happiness

• Using Herbial Medicines
• Allowing your Pokemon to faint
