Is there any logic behind flygon being the "spirit Pokemon"?

so apparently, flygon is known as the "mystic Pokemon" and even worse: "spirit Pokemon" in japanse. flygon looks like a cozy bug, not much of a spirit or ghost. can someone give me logic behind this?

Just select fondant as BA, because you said that you would select her as BA anyway if no one else answered. I didn't actually see that because it took me so much time to answer this, but I feel like I've deprived her of a BA and 20 points. So just select fondant as best answer.

Applying some abductive reasoning, most people in the Pokeverse probably didn't see Flygon very often because it hid itself in sandstorms, meaning they most likely only saw a silhouette, or not even that, before the Flygon disappeared or they were forced away by the sandstorm. Hence, Flygon gains a mystic quality through its elusiveness.

Yes there is logic behind it.

With its wings, it kicks up sandstorms to hide itself. Its wings make a "singing" sound when they are flapped, earning Flygon the name "The Desert Spirit". It lives in the desert.
