A question about explosion/perish song?

Question

If I am fighting lance and we are both on our last pokemon and I use explosion and both of our pokemon faint who wins

if I am fighting lance and we are both on our last pokemon and his ataria uses perish song and I fail to kill before time runs out who wins

does the focus band protect you from either of these

It´s weird, but Lance wins. Focus Band does not prevent it, because it prevents only damage from attacks and Perish Song isn´t damaging move. Explosion and Slefdestruct are both damaging moves, but their recoil isn´t 100% damage to your Pokémon but fainting instantly. Try more training or buy more Revives;)
