Acceptable for Metagross + item?

Maxed Attack, lowered Speed:

Bullet Punch - Speed compensation
Hammer Arm - for lowering Speed
Zen Headbutt - STAB, strong, may flinch
Gyro Ball - great with low Speed, STAB

Also, can someone help me with item?

You can try steel plate, macho brace or quick claw.
If you choose quick claw replace bullet punch with earthquake.
