Ultra balls r the best fro catching legendaries apart from master ball in my opinion but try luxury ball if you're going to use it so it's friendlier :)

• Quick Balls are good in the first or second turn of the battle.
• Ultra Balls and Dusk Balls are generally your best bet since they have the highest catchrate for where Heatran is.
• And if you can find them, Timer Balls are also great if the battle is lasting a long time.

If you can afford it:
Use 99 (max amount) of ultra balls
If that some how fails, use a timer ball
if that fails, reset and repeat
