So, this started when l decided l wanted to egg-breed an Adamant Scyther, with Baton Pass (so when l Swords Dance and need to switch out, at least l can pass the +2 ATK!), and l got one (With Technician! :D).
The problem was, l started to realize, when after l had finished EV training it, and was starting to level it up, that it didn't have Bullet Punch.
l checked Bulbapedia, and it said that it was supposed to learn it from the Start.
l went to Blackthorn City to teach it back with the Heart Scale tutor, but it wasn't able to learn Bullet Punch...
l tried every tutor l could find, and no Bullet Punch, my question to all of you is...

Was this Scyther already determined not to learn Bullet Punch because of Baton Pass (because when it hatched, there were four moves learned)?
Or, did l mess something up somehow,
OR, must it be a Scizor first, than learn it somehow?
lf it must be a Scizor first, how am l able to learn it, since it's already Lv 37 now?
Thank you very much in advance! ~

You got it all wrong Shockingly. First, Scyther DOES NOT learn Bullet Punch as an Egg move. You have to Evolve Scyther and use a Heart Scale to get Bullet Punch since it learns it at Lv 1.

Noooo!
l didn't say that at all!
YOU have me all wrong! l egg-breeded Scyther with Baton Pass!
Okay, so l do have to evolve it first, thank you very much!  ~
YES!!
here are YOUR exact words:

Was this Scyther already determined not to learn Bullet Punch because of Baton Pass(because when it hatched, there were four moves learned)?
Right there is where you said it.
Ohhh, what l meant to say was if Scyther was PREdetermined that it could not learn Bullet Punch because Baton Pass took up the slot.

l guess l should double check things before l submit...
It's okay, and No Problem. Happy to help!!
