Is it possible to get stuck between tides in Shoal Cave?

Question

Let's say I go in the caves to get the Glalite during the Low Tide but have no more time to play and I switch off the 3DS.
I come back 12 hours later.
Will I be stuck until the High Tide goes away or will the tide not activate until the player leaves the cave?
And vica-versa for the other tide.

Hmm this is interesting. I would assume the tides would rise/ fall just as normal, but if you were standing on ground during low tide it wouldn't work because where you're standing would be water in high tide...
So I think you have to exit in order for the shoal cave's tides to change...

The tides doent swap until you have left the cave.
