Does your costume change with Cosplay Pikachu's?

I really want to get into Pokémon Contests, but I think that the costume that I'm given is hideous. However, it seemed to match my Cosplay Pikachu's costume (mine was Pikachu Rock Star, do all Cosplay Pikachu come as that?). I was wondering, if I changed my Cosplay Pikachu's costume, does my costume changes as well?

No it doesnt. My Pikachu is a Queen of England Pikachu and I still have that hideous costume.
