Is there a way to get a Sun Stone in Platinum before beating the game?

So, I have a Sunkern (It does not suck!!!), but I need to evolve it. Is there a way to get a sun stone in-game?

Non-repeatable
- Valor Lakefront (East of Hotel Grand Lake; requires Rock Climb)
- Mt. Coronet (Northwest corner of 4F room 1; requires Rock Smash, Surf, Strength, and Rock Climb)

Repeatable
- Underground (randomly; more common with an odd-numbered Trainer ID)
- Wild Solrock (5%; requires Ruby in the GBA slot)

If you want to get a Sun Stone pre-Elite 4, get out your Explorer Kit, cross your fingers and mine your heart out.
