Answering because the previous answer is incorrect.

During harsh sunlight, Flower Gift increases the Attack and Special Defense stats of the Pokémon with this Ability and its allies by 1.5×.

In addition, starting from Gen 5 onward, Harsh Sunlight will also convert Cherrim from Overcast Form to Sunshine Form.

From memory, in Gen 4 Cherrim also transforms into sunshine form on sunlight.

yes, when it uses sunny day it boosts it atk and def however thats your chance to use a fire move since sunny day boosts the power of fire type moves
