We all know about the story of Cubone seeking closure by wearing its mother's Skull, but what about Vullaby?

by
Whoa.
:o
I'm not sure at all, but I thought it just didn't remove some of its egg shell when it hatched?
A dead Cubone. Go ahead, hate me. I cried too.
I saw a meme once. It showed a picture of Snorlax and a picture of Togepi.

Under Snorlax it said "So you think this Pokémon is lazy?"

Under Togepi it said "This one got half way out of its egg and gave up."
Lol, I was thinking it was its egg shell, but then I thought about vultures circling a dying animal in the desert and said nah...
It could be both used as one - from what I've made out by looking at the front and back sprites.

I'm pretty sure vullaby isn't wearing a skull. That thing its wearing is its diaper. Hence the name ''the diapered Pokémon''. It's diaper is made from bones gathered by mandibuzz.
As the time approaches for it to evolve, it discards the bones it was wearing.

I agree!
Thank you all for your help!
No problem!
Skulls are bones so who's to say the bone it gave to Vullaby to use a diaper wasn't a skull?
I know I think it's a diaper, but it could be a skull to. The back sprite shows the same closed space as the front. How do we know, that the leg-holes aren't the eyes and the heart in front in an upside-down face?

Taken from the Alpha Sapphire pokedex entry:

They guard their posteriors with bones that were gathered by Mandibuzz.

So nothing in particular, just what ever it's mother finds.
