Does soft resetting give you another shot at a shiny Pokemon egg hatch?

Question

If I save right before a egg hatches and soft reset if it isn't shiny would I still get another shot at shiny after the soft reset?

Or is the Pokemon declared shiny once you receive the egg from the day care man?

LOL for Masuda Method you dont need to SOFT RESET and no he doesnt tell you its shiny, you keep taking eggs (preferably 5 at a time) and hatch them

The Pokemon inside the egg is pre-determined as soon as they are give to you, so, no. You can't receive the egg, save, hatch then soft reset for a shiny...
