The special move Hold Hands has been made available via certain Event Pokémon (Pikachu, Vivillon and Charizard). What does it do? According to Serebii, all it does is:

>Ally Pokémon hold hands. This makes them very happy.

Is it a wierd version of Beat Up? A renamed Helping Hand? Does it boost Pokémons happiness?

HELP!

P.S. I know this has been asked before, but I want to know if there is any new information.

So far, Hold Hands has no known effect

Hold Hands has no known effect in battle. When a Pokémon uses this move in a Double Battle or Triple Battle, it and its target ally will perform a brief animation together.
It will fail if used in a Single Battle or Horde Encounter (even if used by one of the five opposing Pokémon). It will hit the target even if it has used Protect, Detect, or Spiky Shield, but will fail if the target is protected by Crafty Shield or is in the middle of a semi-invulnerable move like Fly or Dig.
