Pokemon ORAS Battle Maison?

I have run into a problem that I desperately need help with. It's about the multi battle option when you get to choose an AI character to be your partner. Your rival, Wally, Archie/Maxie and Steven appear but at the bottom of the selection screen it says that none are eligible to be my partner. Is there something wrong with my game? Is this a glitch? I don't know and I'm on the verge of giving up and leaving Battle Maison for good... If anyone can answer one or both questions I will be so very grateful to you

I have not found anything on this yet but I do have some thoughts of why you cannot have a multi battle with them

  • Your party and battle box is made up of banned Pokemon and/or eggs (List of banned Pokemon)

  • You only have one Pokemon in your battle box and/or party

  • Your game is not updated all the way (This might not do anything but try updating it all the way just in case)

  • Your game is glitched

I found out my problem. My Battle Box is empty and I had no idea it existed in my PC lol. I'm used to Pokémon R/S so this was new to me

You do not need your battle box as long as you have 3 Pokemon in your party
