Will Storm Drain absorb each individual hit of Water Shuriken?

Say I have my hypothetical Greninja and my hypothetical Storm Drain Maractus on the field at one time. If Greninja uses Water Shuriken and it hits, say, three times, will Maractus get the Storm Drain boost three times, or only once?

TL;DR Does Storm Drain activate on each hit of Water Shuriken, or only once?

Storm Drains activates once.

Water Shuriken only hits once when Storm Drain is activated so Storm Drain activates once.
