Where is the girl's key?

You know the girl outside a holiday house west from Pastoria City? Well, she says she has lost a key of some sort and asks you if you have it.

My question is, Where is this key, and what does she do after? (Like a reward TM or somthing)

So from that hotel from the south walk 3 steps up, 3 steps left, 1 step down, and 6 steps left again. If the key isn't there, it's in that area.

The key opens up that locked house and I think she gives you an item. Haven't played Pearl in a long time...

Go up from the lobby and use dowsing machine to search for it

the girl give a white flute for your trouble.
