PokéBase - Pokémon Q&A

While searching for new Sun and Moon info, I've came across a lot of different leaked images of new Pokémon and other things, and I'm bad at figuring out which ones are official and which ones are fake, so I wanted to ask this question.

The only way I've been able to spot fake leaks so far are if the art style is completely different to the usual one you see for Pokémon stuff.

There isn't really a way to do it on the spot unless you have a really well-trained eye.
However, if you take the time to go to Serebii or even the official Pokemon website (maybe), Serebii will have the latest legitimate news, including leaks, I believe. That way you don't have to search for proof.

If this answer is unsatisfactory, tell me and I'll take it down. Hope I helped!

Sometimes, it is hard to spot leaks, but the fake leaks usually don't look like the Pokemon that are official. If you have a good eye, you should be able to find the differences. Also, if you find a leak you're unsure of, visit the Official Pokemon Website or Serebii. Its what I do and it makes things a whole lot simpler than spending hours surfing the web. Also, Serebii has a lot of other Pokemon info, and its updated daily, so its very useful for these kinds of things.

Hope I helped!

These links may not work, so you might be better of just searching for these websites.
